Gritwell needed a website, a client portal, a back-office platform, and a mobile PWA — all from scratch, all in production, in under four months.
The problem
Gritwell's founders had a clear vision: a wellness platform that connected patients with providers, standardized treatment protocols, and gave both sides real-time visibility into the care journey. They had a funding runway and a launch target. They did not have a product.
The scope was broad for a 4-month timeline: patient-facing client portal, provider back-office system, scheduling, intake forms, treatment tracking, and a PWA for mobile access — all connected, all production-quality, all compliant.

Client Portal
Patient-facing web and mobile app. Appointment booking, intake forms, treatment tracking, and provider messaging.
Provider Back-Office
Treatment management, patient records, scheduling, and billing. Built for providers who needed to move fast between sessions.
Real-Time Connectivity
Live sync between patient and provider views. Status updates, appointment changes, and care plan updates visible to both sides instantly.
Multi-Platform
Web, mobile, and PWA. Responsive design system that maintains consistency across every surface.
The approach
This was a venture partnership, not a services engagement. We worked alongside the Gritwell founding team as co-builders. Product strategy, technical architecture, design, and engineering — all under one roof.
The 4-month timeline required disciplined scoping. We identified the minimum viable feature set that would demonstrate real value to both patients and providers, built it first, and expanded from there. The MVP launched on schedule.
The outcome
The MVP launched on schedule. Gritwell raised $3M in their next round, using the working product as the primary proof point. The platform now generates $1.2M ARR.
